advanced drawing / drawing 2

only animation majors took this course in preparation for drawing characters- essentially this course was a second life drawing course.

emphasis was equally placed on labor-intensive, very finished work and the further development of gestural drawing ability.

we had 2 three-hour meetings a week over an eleven week quarter.

skills taught

  • continue to develop life drawing skills with special emphasis on the moving figure
  • begin to invent characters utilizing observed figures as a starting point
